Why the Blog Silence?

We are sooo close to rolling out the new blog!  The guys at Downstairs Design Studios are writing code and fixing bugs.  I’ve got lots more images to blog, but I’m dying to post them on the new site.

Kyle’s Senior Photos Finale

It’s tough to find a full-time teaching position in February.  I graduated from UND with a music education degree in December.  I loaded up my Ford Explorer with as much as I cared about and headed Southwest to California where there was a girl waiting for me.

When I got here, I had nothing to do.  There was only one reason for me to get up in the morning before 10:00 a.m.  I had to teach a wild bunch of fifth-grade boys how to play drums.  So I did, or at least I gave it a shot.  They were crazy.  It was like trying to tame an ant hill.

Kyle was one of those crazy fifth-graders seven years ago.  At that time, we were sure that our adventure in California would last two, maybe three years.  But here we are, seven years later taking Kyles senior portraits.  And we wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else in the world.

The New Brand Coming Soon!

We’ve been working with the design team at Downstairs Design Studios on developing a new brand for Mark Leonard Imaging.  Today we got to look at the logo ideas they’ve created and they are so totally cool and unbelievably hip I can hardly stand it.  I’m so stoked!  I can’t wait to launch the new brand.  Be ready for a new Mark Leonard Imaging coming soon to a feedreader near you.

And we’ve got another set of senior photos with Kyle on the way too.

Senior Shoot with Kyle

It was a joint effort between his mother and me to convince Kyle that he should take a Saturday afternoon to shoot some senior portraits.  I was preparing myself to have to work hard to get some natural smiles and expressions from Kyle, but once we started shooting, Kyle turned on the inner model.  He turned out to be a natural in front of the camera, and we had a great time!

We got a lot of great shots on Saturday. I’ll have a few more to show in the next post so stay tuned.

Baby’s First Year Package

We’re rolling out a session package for all those parent’s (or grandparents!) who want to make sure they capture the milestones in their baby’s first year.  Contact us before the end of the year and lock in the 2008 price – 6 sessions for $375.

Schedule sessions for:

1. Newborn
2. 1 month
3. 3 months
4. 6 months
5. 9 months
6. 1 year

Or move the sessions around to include a maternity shoot.

Again, we’ll be changing our session prices in January, so book your sessions now!

Coming Soon – First Year Package

This week has kept me a little busier than most at work.  I’m eager for Friday to be over.

I’m planning to launch one more session package before the year is over focused on all of those babies on the way. So stay tuned.
